An Historic site built on people
The Woodruff House restoration only took place because of the people involved in the restoration. In 1978 a group of brave original members took up the task of restoring a run down house that many people didn't know existed and turned it into a local historical landmark. Through years of hard word, hundreds of hour of volunteering, and thousands of dollars of donations the house has been restored to its original grandeur.
But the Woodruff House still needs dedicated people to ensure the dream of those first members continues. The Hillside Historical Society is currently seeking new members and volunteers for our various functions.
